Gold Climbs to Session Peak at $4,048/oz on Stronger US Consumer Sentiment

Gold prices rose to fresh session highs after stronger US consumer sentiment data emerged. The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index climbed to 91.7 in October, beating forecasts of 81 and September’s revised 84.2. The Present Situation Index gained 8.6 points to 120.4, while the Expectations Index rose 6.9 points to 72.6.
