Gold Stays Above $4,100 as Softer PCE Eases Hawkish Fed Stance

Spot gold traded near $4,107.20 an ounce, up 0.55%, while silver gained 1.84% to $59.27 in late Thursday trading. The metals rebounded after the Fed held rates at 3.50-3.75% with three dissents for a hike, as June PCE slowed to 3.7% year-over-year and core PCE to 3.3%. Q2 GDP rose at a softer 1.5% annualized pace.
